YCA began with 30 members and has since grown to over 100 active participants. Guided by the motto By Christ, For Christ, the group seeks to root its activities, service, and fellowship in Christ. YCA’s chosen patron saint is St. John Paul II, known for his profound love for young adults and families.
Young Catholic Adults (YCA) was founded in February 2013 under the chaplaincy of Rev. Fr. Bernard Nganga Kabiu, supported by Mr. Paul Kasimu and a Youth Board of 10 parishioners. The group was formed from the Senior Youth ministry to accommodate members who had outgrown the youth bracket through long membership, marriage, or parenthood.

St. John Paul II
St. John Paul II is celebrated as a shepherd who championed the dignity, gifts, and calling of young adults. Through World Youth Days, pastoral letters, and his personal warmth, he invited young people to embrace holiness with courage and joy.
His life story, marked by prayer, resilience, and a deep devotion to Christ, inspires YCA members to be confident witnesses of the Gospel. His teachings continue to guide young adults in faith, family life, leadership, and service.
