Church Projects

At Holy Family Minor Basilica, our mission extends beyond worship to service — empowering our parish family through faith, education, and community development. Through our parish projects, we seek to build a compassionate and self-reliant community guided by love, stewardship, and Christian values.

HOLY FAMILY MINOR BASILICA CATHOLIC PAROCHIAL SCHOOL

The school is founded on strong Christian values and benefits from its location within the Holy Family Minor Basilica, giving learners access to weekly Eucharistic celebrations, spiritual guidance, and catechesis classes that prepare them to receive all sacraments before high school. Under Sr. Caroline’s leadership, the school has built strong partnerships across Nairobi, excelling in academics, music, drama, sports, and various clubs through the dedication of its teaching team.

With a nationally recognized pupils’ choir, enriching educational tours, active scouting, and a fully implemented Competency-Based Curriculum, the school continues to nurture confident, faith-grounded learners ready to become future leaders. We look forward to welcoming your child into our vibrant community.

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it.” — Proverbs 22:6

YOUTH SHOP

The Youth Shop is a special initiative by the HFMB Youth Board, created to promote self-reliance and provide sustainable financial support for youth activities within the parish, while strengthening the growing youth ministry. The shop offers a wide range of sacramentals, prayer books, devotional items, and parish-branded merchandise, all thoughtfully selected to help deepen faith and spirituality within families and individuals.

Every purchase directly supports the vibrant youth programs of our parish, enabling the Youth Board to continue nurturing young minds and hearts in faith. By shopping with us, you’re not just buying an item—you’re investing in the future of our Basilica community. Together, we strengthen our faith, uplift our youth, and build a Church that is alive, growing, and grounded in Christ.

“Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers.” — 1 Timothy 4:12

AGAPE FAMILY BREAD BAKERY

Agape Family Bread Bakery is a faith-driven project of the Holy Family Basilica Parochial School, created during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. When the world came to a standstill, the school sought an innovative way to keep its mission alive, and from that moment, Agape Family Bread was born—an initiative inspired by resilience and service.

The bakery offers a delicious range of wholesome products, including Brown Bread, White Bread, Fancy Bread, Coconut Buns, Fancy Buns, Rock Buns, and more, all crafted with care and family health in mind. Every loaf you enjoy directly supports the school’s mission of providing quality education and Christian formation for children.

“Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.” — Proverbs 11:25

BASILICA SELF_HELP GROUP

The Basilica Self-Help Group is one of the vibrant church groups under the Holy Family Minor Basilica, within the Archdiocese of Nairobi. It operates under the Archdiocese of Nairobi Caritas Registered Trustees.
Founded in 1997 with just 20 members, the group has grown into a thriving community of over 3,500 members. Rooted in Christian values of love, charity, and solidarity, the group empowers members through saving, affordable credit, and mutual support.

Guided by six core principles—Human Dignity, Truthfulness, Collective Ownership, Stewardship, Professionalism, and Integrity—the Basilica Self-Help Group continues to foster spiritual and economic growth among its members.

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2
