Formed in 2011 by catechumens who received their sacraments that same year, the group was inspired by a shared desire to continue their journey of faith and fellowship beyond baptism.
At Holy Family Minor Basilica Catholic Parish, St. Joseph Small Christian Community is a close-knit group of 31 members inspired by St. Joseph’s humility, faith, and service. For over thirteen years, the community has grown as a spiritual family, living out their baptismal vows through prayer, charity, mutual support, and active service in the life of the Basilica.

St. Joseph SCC is organized to ensure spiritual nourishment, mutual care, and active involvement in the parish:
• Leadership Committee: Oversees coordination of meetings, communication, and planning.
• Welfare and Charity Team: Supports members during life events and organizes outreach programs.
• Formation and Liturgy Team: Leads faith formation sessions, retreats, and Mass animation.
New members are welcomed warmly and guided through orientation sessions to integrate smoothly into the community.

Prayer and Spiritual Growth

Mass Animation
Leading liturgical celebrations as scheduled by the parish and during feast days.
Charity and Works of Mercy
Visiting orphans, elderly homes, the sick, and prisoners; organizing charitable events to support the vulnerable.
Member Support
Visiting and assisting members during illness or bereavement, celebrating births, and commemorating special milestones.
Spiritual Talks and Formation
Inviting priests and guest speakers to guide members on relevant moral and spiritual topics.
Social and Team-Building Activities
Holding get-together, spiritual outings, and group-building events that strengthen unity and joy in fellowship.
