About our community

Established in 2000 under the Holy Family Minor Basilica, Nairobi

Rooted in Catholic teachings and inspired by the humility and compassion of St. Francis of Assisi, the group seeks to strengthen Christian brotherhood while contributing to both personal and communal development.

St. Francis of Assisi, our patron saint, is remembered for his deep love for God’s creation, humility, peace, and compassion for the poor. He lived a life of simplicity and total devotion to God, teaching that true joy is found in serving others and embracing the Gospel. His spirit continues to inspire us to live faithfully, care for creation, and seek peace in all things.

Mission

Inspired by St. Francis of Assisi’s humility and compassion, we strive to foster deep spirituality through prayer, evangelization, charitable works, and active participation in parish life.

Join Our Community

Membership in St. Francis of Assisi SCC is open to all Catholics wishing to grow in faith and participate actively in parish life.

  • Meetings: Every Tuesday (prayer and reflection).
  • Holy Mass: Every Thursday, hosted in members’ homes, providing opportunities for shared reflection, mutual support, and fellowship. New members may join by expressing interest to existing members or through parish registration.
