The Catholic Men Association (CMA) at Holy Family Minor Basilica was established in mid-1997 under the leadership of Fr. Joseph Mukui, with Aloysius Wanda (Chairman), Thomas Gwandaru (Secretary), and Joseph Kimani (Treasurer) as the pioneer officials.
CMA is a lay, non-political, and non-profit association composed of baptized Catholic men committed to deepening their faith, strengthening their families, and serving the Church and society. The group collaborates with the Archdiocese of Nairobi in both spiritual and social initiatives, including support for major projects such as the construction of St. Joseph Technical Institute in Kamulu.
Members express their CMA identity through the official blue suit, blue tie with the CMA logo, and a membership certificate.

A Catholic Men Association that enriches society by living Gospel values in the family, Church, and community.
To promote the family institution through companionship, responsible fatherhood, and active participation in the Church’s mission of evangelization and sanctification.
CMA members serve in ministries supporting liturgy, spirituality, social development, and charity.
St. Joseph
St. Joseph, the patron saint of the Catholic Men Association, is honored as the guardian of the Holy Family and a model of faithful fatherhood. Scripture presents him as a humble, just, and courageous man who listened to God with a steady heart and protected Mary and Jesus with quiet strength. He worked with his hands, led with integrity, and lived his vocation with deep trust in God. For Catholic men today, St. Joseph stands as an example of responsibility, patience, prayerfulness, and service to family, Church, and community.
