The sacraments are “efficacious signs of grace, instituted by Christ and entrusted to the Church, by which divine life is dispensed to us” (CCC 1131). In other words, a sacrament is a sacred and visible sign that is instituted by Jesus to give us grace, an undeserved gift from God. The Catholic Church has all of the seven sacraments instituted by Christ, which include Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders, and Matrimony.
Each sacrament marks an important stage in a Christian’s spiritual life — from new life in Christ to healing and mission in the world.
The faithful are born a new by Baptism, strengthened by Confirmation, and receive in the Eucharist the food of eternal life.
The basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ and are incorporated into the Church.
Who Can Receive Baptism?
The sacrament which gives the Holy Spirit to root us more deeply in the divine filiation, incorporate us more firmly into Christ, and strengthen our bond with the Church.
The source and summit of Christian life. Through the Eucharist, we participate in the Lord’s own sacrifice and receive the Body and Blood of Christ, the spiritual food that nourishes us.
The faithful are born a new by Baptism, strengthened by Confirmation, and receive in the Eucharist the food of eternal life.
The Sacrament of Penance brings about a change of heart through God’s mercy and forgiveness. Experience the Lord’s compassion through confession of sins and absolution.

Through the sacred anointing and prayer of the priests, the Church commends those who are ill to the suffering and glorified Lord, that he may raise them up and save them.
The faithful are born a new by Baptism, strengthened by Confirmation, and receive in the Eucharist the food of eternal life.
The sacrament through which the mission entrusted by Christ to his apostles continues to be exercised in the Church. Includes three degrees: episcopate, presbyterate, and diaconate.
The matrimonial covenant establishes between a man and woman a partnership of the whole of life, ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring.
