Founded in 2014 by Rev. Fr. Simon Peter Kamomoe (now Bishop), the Christ Centered Basilica Choir, also known as the Senior Basilica Choir, leads worship at the Holy Family Minor Basilica with Christ-centered devotion, grace, and discipline.
CCBC played a key role in the formation of the St. Gregory the Great Basilica Choir and the Basilica Magnificat Choir, making it the foundation choir of the Basilica’s choral ministry.
As CCBC celebrates 10 years of ministry, it gives thanks to God for His faithfulness and invites all parishioners to join in this mission of service through praise and worship.
To keep Christ at the center of liturgical singing, inspiring the congregation through vibrant and inclusive music ministry.
To evangelize and serve God by leading the faithful in praise and worship through sung liturgy.
Membership spans generations—from Mrs. Winnie Makokha (88 years), who has sung for 54 years, to the youngest 14-year-old pianist studying at the Queen of Apostles Minor Seminary. The choir is known for its family spirit, vibrant fellowship, and excellence in sung liturgy, supported by skilled trainers and instrumentalists.
Open to all devoted Catholics who wish to serve God through sacred music. CCBC is a multi-generational choir where seasoned choristers and young musicians grow together in faith and service.
