St. Michael the Archangel SCC was officially established in April 2018 by members of the 2017 catechesis class who had received their sacraments of Baptism, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation.
Under the pastoral guidance of Rev. Fr. Simon Mwangi, our chaplain, we draw inspiration from Acts 2:42 — embracing the apostles’ teachings, fellowship, and prayer. The SCC is a diverse and vibrant family of believers from different backgrounds, cultures, and ages, united in the love of Christ.
At St. Michael, inclusivity is at the heart of our identity. We take pride in fostering respect and belonging among members while upholding equality and diversity as core values. Over the years, we have been actively involved in parish life through charity work, spiritual recollections, team-building, acts of mercy, and Mass animations.
As we continue to journey in faith, we aspire to support one another spiritually within our SCC, the Holy Family Minor Basilica Parish, and the wider Church — all in hope of inheriting the Kingdom of God.
To be a vibrant family of missionary disciples, united in faith and love, actively inspiring and influencing our community to live out God's mission.
To build a Christ-centered community that fosters deep faith, communion and service, empowering each member to actively participate in God's mission, sharing His love and hope with all people.
Our patron saint is St. Michael the Archangel, the guardian of the Church and spiritual warrior in the eternal battle between good and evil. We hold him in high esteem as a symbol of courage, faith, and divine protection against the snares of the devil.
