ALTAR BOYS

The Altar Boys Ministry is a vital part of the liturgical life at Holy Family Minor Basilica. Altar boys assist the priest and deacon during the Holy Mass and other liturgical celebrations, ensuring that the liturgy is conducted reverently, orderly, and prayerfully.

Members of this ministry receive training in liturgical procedures, altar etiquette, and the proper handling of sacred vessels and items used during Mass. Through their service, they develop discipline, responsibility, teamwork, and a deeper love for the Eucharist and the worship of the Church.

The ministry places a strong focus on the spiritual formation and moral growth of its members, guiding them to serve with humility, attentiveness, and devotion. For young people, altar service provides a unique opportunity to actively participate in the liturgy while growing in faith.

The Altar Boys Ministry is under the patronage of St. Dominic Savio, a model of youthful holiness, purity of heart, and joyful service to God. His example inspires altar boys to live holy lives while faithfully serving at the altar.

Working closely with the clergy and liturgy team, the ministry ensures that all celebrations are conducted with dignity, reverence, and in accordance with the norms of the Church.
