Founded in 2012 as the Youth Choir, the group was formally commissioned in 2018 under Auxiliary Bishop Simon Peter Kamomoe and the Holy Family Minor Basilica Youth Board, performing a rich mix of Gregorian chant, traditional hymns, and contemporary sacred music to enhance the liturgy.
The St. Gregory the Great Choir is a Catholic liturgical choir dedicated to enriching the Church’s worship through sacred music. Drawing inspiration from St. Gregory the Great, the father of Gregorian chant, the choir seeks to elevate the hearts and minds of the faithful to God through reverent and beautiful choral music.

Patron Saint: St. Gregory the Great
St. Gregory the Great (540–604 AD), Pope and Doctor of the Church, is known for his profound influence on Church music and liturgical reform. He is revered as the Father of Gregorian Chant, a musical form that continues to inspire reverence and prayerful worship in the Catholic Church. His legacy reminds us that sacred music is both a form of prayer and a path to holiness.
